i-Treasues participation in ICT2015 (20-22 October 2015, Lisbon, Portugal)

ICT 2015 - Innovate, Connect, Transform wiil be held in Lisbon, Portugal on 20-22 October, 2015

Within i-Treasures project, four prototype educational multi-platform game-like applications have been implemented for selected ICH sub-use cases (Tsamiko dance, Human Beat Box singing, pottery, and contemporary music composition). The games are presented in the framework of a single application and are designed to get input from various sensors and game devices, such as the prototype hyper-helmet or off-the-shelf commercial sensors, like Kinect.

Visitors will be able to learn the basics of the corresponding four ICH types by observing and imitating expert performances. Each game-like application provide a user-friendly interface and includes several activities that represent the sub-steps of the learning process, as envisaged by the domain experts. Expert and learner performances are visualised by 3D avatars in interactive 3D worlds, embedding multiple elements of the specific ICH tradition (e.g., costumes, artifacts, locations).
